GENTLE YOGA with Wendy Wolf
Wendy is a Certified Yoga Teacher. She completed her teacher training at Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy in 2011 . She also completed a teacher training course at Kripalu on teaching "Dynamic Gentle Yoga". Wendy more recently took a teacher training class in Restorative Yoga with Judith Lassater in 2018. Wendy also has an background in Movement studies.
She is a Certified Movement Analyst, completing the intensive certification program at the Laban-Bartenieff School of Movement Studies in NYC in 1986. She has been studying and teaching movement since 1980. In the 1980s, she studied many different forms of body/ mind movement therapies, therapeutic exercise, creative movement and and expressive dance.
Her movement background combined with her Yoga training enhances her ability to help her students. She combines her Yoga and Movement background in her work as a teacher and with her private clients. Wendy also has a Master’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Bank Street College of Education. Wendy had been a classroom teacher in elementary schools and preschools and has also taught children creative movement and Yoga.
Wendy taught Movement and exercise classes in NYC and also worked with private clients in the 80s and early 90s. In 1994, she moved to Mahopac. She started teaching Yoga in 2005.
Wendy taught classes to both children and adults at Club Fit for 21 years. Her classes included: yoga, Stretch and Relax, Self Discovery thru Yoga and creative movement. She also taught Gentle Yoga at Unite4fitness and Putnam Yoga. She taught Yoga and Mindfulness, “Self Discovery thru Yoga” at The Mahopac Library.
She now teaches classes and sees clients at Sarah's House of Health in Mahopac and at a private studio in Mahopac, very close to Somers .
